WELCOME TO LTC!
LTC is the premier leadership conference for middle and high school students in New Jersey. The oldest continually operating state Leadership Training Conference of its kind in the United States, LTC has been developing and producing exemplary student leaders for 58 YEARS! Each July nearly three hundred student leaders from throughout the Garden State join us at The College of New Jersey for a leadership experience truly like no other. In just four days and three nights, you (or your student leaders) will discover, develop, and demonstrate their leadership potential in a supportive and unique environment that will prepare them for the challenges which lie ahead. And you (or they) will have loads of fun doing it!
LTC is a program of the New Jersey Association of Student Councils (NJASC), but it is not just for Student Council members. The leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills taught and refined at LTC are universal; we gladly welcome all student leaders entering grades 7 to 12 who are involved in clubs, co-curricular activities, National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, athletic teams or who just want to develop leadership skills. We invite you to explore this website to discover what LTC is all about, and see why YOU (or your student leaders) should become part of our LTC community!
NJASC is the officially recognized State Student Council Association of New Jersey. Founded at New Brunswick High School in 1927, NJASC has provided the student leaders of the Garden State numerous opportunities over the past nine decades to discover, develop, and apply their leadership skills to serve their schools and communities. At each of our seasonal conferences (October, January, May) well over one thousand student leaders and their faculty advisors convene to hear nationally recognized speakers, recognize outstanding achievements, network with each other to present workshops and share great ideas, and annually elect our New Jersey student State Officers. We encourage all schools in New Jersey with students in grades 6 to 12 to not only send delegates to LTC, but to become actively involved with NJASC throughout the year!
If you have any questions about LTC please contact NJASC Executive Directors Lou Miller (email@example.com) or Wendy Booth Sitzler (firstname.lastname@example.org). We hope that you (or your student leaders) will join us at LTC in 2013!
